Senior Business Development Specialist – Global Initiatives
Adrienne Villani is Senior Business Development Specialist – Global Initiatives for Internews, where she leads partnerships and business development in the humanitarian, health, and environment sectors. Prior to joining Internews, Adrienne served as the Director of Business Development at Premise, a data and analytics platform that delivered operational optimization to public health and development programs. In this position, Adrienne was responsible for the company’s strategic pivot to public health, including identifying the market opportunity, designing and implementing the business strategy and funding model, cultivating foundational revenue partnerships, and gaining cross-functional buy-in to incorporate it into the product roadmap.
Prior to her work with Premise, Adrienne was the Vice President of Emerging Markets at the Rock Creek Group, a $10 billion global investment and advisory firm. In this position, she developed business strategies and investments of $350 million in India and cultivated relationships with key leaders. She previously spent three years in India as an Associate with Intellecap, a social investment advisory firm and as a Research and Communications Consultant with the Naz Foundation (India) Trust. Adrienne has also worked with the United Nations Population Fund in New York as a Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant.
Adrienne has a Master’s degree in Population and Development and a joint degree in Development Studies and Social Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Italian Studies from Georgetown University
