Senior Director for Special Services - DAMCO
Rob’s background is a cross-section of the intelligence, humanitarian assistance, developmental aid and military special operations communities in the U.S. government. His federal service includes tours with all three major US national intelligence agencies and numerous overseas combat assignments in Sub-Saharan and East Africa, Southwest Asia, the Near East and Eastern Europe. After leaving the US Marine Corps, he managed advanced R&D projects for the US Department of Defense then built hospitals in conflict zones across Africa as the COO of a medical nonprofit. Rob then returned to government briefly to manage US Special Operations Command's Africa desk in Washington DC, and led conservation enforcement efforts across Africa in the fight against the illegal wildlife trade. Prior to accepting his current position, he was the Senior Director for African Affairs on the US National Security Council.
